Position:

Biology/Science teacher Loyola College Prep is a 9-12 Catholic high school in the Diocese of Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana. Our mission is to create men and women of conscience, character, and compassion, continuing in the Jesuit Catholic tradition of discipline, academic excellence, student involvement, and faith in action for the “greater glory of God” AMDG Teaching in a Catholic school setting is a vocation, all teachers are expected to teach and act consistently in accordance with the mission statement of the school and strive to aid in the formation of students by personal witness. The position is for a full-time Biology/Science teacher. Benefits are included with compensation package. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to high school students’ needs. Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment. Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in educational practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (or related field) Demonstrated competency in Biology High school teaching experience a plus Ability to use technology to support student learning Louisiana teaching certification (or out of state certification) is a plus, but not required.
