DESCRIPTION

Southeastern Regional Technical Vocational High School seeks a passionate and dedicated High School Earth Science Teacher to join our science department. The ideal candidate will inspire students through student-centered, engaging instruction, foster a love of science, and support student success in accordance with Massachusetts curriculum standards. The candidate will obtain licensure in Earth Science required; candidates with a secondary license in Biology or Chemistry are preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

Develop and implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) lesson plans that encourage learner-centered, student-owned educational experiences. Create a classroom environment of high expectations that is safe, supportive, and inclusive. Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support and differentiate learning. Assess and monitor student progress; provide timely and constructive feedback. Communicate effectively with students, parents/families, and colleagues.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelors degree in Earth Science. Valid Massachusetts teaching licensure in Earth Science. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Vocational high school experience preferred
