Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. Pay range is low 50s, based on credentials.
Responsibilities:
Central Maine Community College seeks an instructor with Exercise Science experience to teach in the Life Science Program. This full-time, in person, faculty position begins teaching responsibilities in the Fall 2025 semester and will be expected to teach a combination of day, evening and online classes. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible to teach 15 credit hours per semester in a combination of lecture and laboratory classes. In addition to instruction, position responsibilities include student advising, participation in departmental meetings, curriculum development, assessment and other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or closely related field
Demonstrated knowledge of the Exercise Science and Physical Fitness fields and career options.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
2+ years teaching in a community college environment.
Experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Training, Rehabilitation and Exercise, Fitness, or related areas.
