This position requires a dynamic educator committed to fostering a rigorous and engaging learning environment that aligns with North Carolina state standards. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Physical Science and Physics. Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners. Develop and assess student learning through projects, experiments, and real-world applications. Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to support student success. Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives. Support extracurricular science-related activities (e.g., robotics club, science fair, coding competitions, etc.).

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Science Education, Physics, Physical Science, or a related field.

Licensure:

Valid North Carolina teaching license in Science (9-12) or eligibility for NC licensure.

Experience:

Prior teaching experience in Physical Science at the high school level preferred.
