SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position exists to teach and instruct high school students in Earth/Space and Chemistry according to NH College & Career-Ready Science Standards (aka NGSS).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Follow lesson plans and teaching outlines using the teachers plans that were left.
- To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress towards meeting state standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students.
- Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding student’s progress.
- Perform the created curriculum and instructional development activities left by the teacher
- To keep work areas tidy and organized to promote safety in the laboratory.
- To attend scheduled meetings in the Science Department and school.

Minimum license required for this position: candidates must hold a valid NH Teaching Certification
