This is a full-time middle school science position teaching seventh grade students. The position involves working within a teaming structure and requires a solid understanding of middle school philosophy and best practices. The candidate will have a comprehensive science background, have the ability to provide hands-on science experiences and the ability to use data to inform instruction. The candidate will also be well versed in the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The candidate will also demonstrate a solid understanding of best practice of instruction and grading. In addition, teachers will have an advisory group and work to develop/implement Project-Based Learning. The Claremont School District is located in the beautiful and picturesque Upper Valley Area of New Hampshire. The Claremont School District is approximately 35 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30 minutes from all of the concerts and athletic events at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The Connecticut River flows nearby making kayaking and canoeing very convenient after work and on the weekends. Hiking trails are plentiful.
