Posting Summary:
Hollingworth Science Camp at Teachers College, Columbia University, is seeking a Head Teacher who will assume full responsibility for all aspects of teaching a group of elementary-aged children for the duration of the camp program, July 1 through 31, 2025
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Planning and pacing, and implementation of the curriculum
Collaboration with co-head and/or assistant/associate teachers
Mentoring of assistant/associate teachers who are current TC graduate students
Setting up and breaking down of age-appropriate classroom
Documentation of curriculum and feedback on the science curriculum
Parent-teacher communication
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
One year of experience teaching elementary-aged children as a lead teacher in their own classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned a Master’s of Arts or in the process of earning a Master’s of Arts degree
Salary Range:
$4,600.00-$5,800.00
