The ideal candidate is a passionate educator with an understanding of the content area and best practices for high school level instruction. St. Jean Baptiste is an all-girls Catholic High school that has been educating students for nearly one hundred years. St. Jean Baptiste High School develops women of faith, service, and leadership and empowers the whole community to participate actively in the transformation of society for a more just world. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading students in chemistry and biology instruction. Lesson planning for groups of students Preparing students for Regents exams Participating in school-wide initiatives Engaging in professional development
Skills and Characteristics:
Passionate commitment to serve in an all girls Catholic educational setting. Experience with Google classrooms is preferred Bachelor’s degree required Past work experience teaching Chemistry or Biology is preferred Experience with Regents testing is preferred Salary range conforms with the provisions in the collective bargaining agreement, based on degree and years of experience; salaries range from $55,072 – $76,907.” (This covers Step 1 BA to Step 17 MA30).
