As OmniLearn continues to grow, we need to expand our team. We are looking for a full time instructor with some flexibility in work schedule as some days we teach during regular school hours and some days we teach after school hours. Founded in 1996, OmniLearn Corp. is an innovative education consulting company, dedicated to empowering pre K-12th grade students with the tools they need to compete and thrive in this century. We bridge the gap between the lab bench and the classroom by bringing state-of-the-art lab equipment and protocols focused on today’s current issues. OmniLearn is MWBE certified by NYC, and has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau. OmniLearn works directly with teachers in their classrooms to complete hands-on labs with their students relating to their current science curriculum. We also partner with various community-based organizations to bring science focused activities to after-school programs throughout NYC. Additionally, we function as the lead Community Based Organization responsible for all programming at 4 schools in NYC. As a member of the OmniLearn team, you will bring your passion for science into the classroom and introduce students and teachers to science concepts through hands-on labs. We are looking for a gifted facilitator with a deep knowledge of science and a love of learning. This position is not remote. Responsibilities Lead developed labs in the classroom on a daily basis (5 classes per day). Mentor, coach, model, challenge, provide feedback, and demonstrate reflective thinking as part of job-embedded professional development for teachers and administrators. Create new labs that spark science interest in students, support classroom teachers’ existing science curriculums, and align with NGSS standards and the NYC Scope and Sequence. Coordinate with the material manager to ensure lab materials are delivered to the school. Develop positive working relationships with a diverse group of teachers and administrators. Daily travel to different schools throughout New York City (predominantly in The Bronx). Assist with tasks related to material organization, kit development, and any other tasks that aid in the needs of the company. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree preferred. Science background required. Education experience is preferred but not required. Hold intellectual curiosity and be willing to challenge the traditional teaching methods of reliance on textbooks and lectures. Must possess strong enthusiasm and passion for hands-on science instruction. Strong presentation, communication, and coaching skills. Experience with, and understanding of, socio-economically and ethnically diverse student populations. Positive attitude, respectful professional relationships. Willing to provide fingerprints to
