Fire Science and Emergency Management Instructor 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Copiague, NY 11726 Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates the need for a Fire Science and Emergency Management Instructor. This secondary high school position will be located at Copiague Fire Department in Copiague, NY in conjunction with our Republic Airport campus in Farmingdale, NY.
Tentative Start Date:
Summer 2025 This is a part-time salaried 10-month position. Hours are 11:15a.m. -2:40 p.m. Potential to become a full-time position (7:40 a.m.-2:40 p.m.)
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of Firematic industry experience.
Required certifications:
Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Operations and Fire Instructor I Preferred certifications: Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Technician I and Fire Instructor II Certifications must be from New York State, ProBoard, or IFSAC.
