Experiential Science Teacher 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 7 Springview Road, Carlisle, PA 17015 Yellow Breeches Educational Center is seeking science teachers for our unique, small classroom environment. Our science curriculum rotates yearly through Earth Science, Biology and Physical Science. Yellow Breeches is a licensed K-12 special education academic school. We provide experiential and adventure education in a small classroom setting. Our class sizes of 6 students allows teachers the ability to meet each students’ individual needs through hands-on instruction. We are looking for engaging and motivated individuals ready to strengthen our team. A love of the outdoors and previous experience with youth is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required to obtain teacher certification. YBEC offers a competitive salary and benefits program. Successful individual will :
- Plan and implement differentiated lesson plans in a care subject area to 6 students per class
- Work collaboratively with all teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and lessons.
- Plan and lead weekly experiential activities (local field trips, museums, opportunities to explore careers, college tours, and transition related activities)
- Assist Adventure Teacher in planning weekly adventure trips (mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing, hiking, and other Experiential / Adventure based activities)
- Assist in planning and attend a week-long adventure and experiential camping trips for the program, twice a year

$50,000.00 – $64,000.00 per year
