Understands that education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life, and a science of relations. Understands teaching to be a calling and a ministry. Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing and technology skills, as well as mastery of content in these subjects. Able to collaborate with teachers and partner with parents. Able to disciple and mentor high school students. Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in the teaching of Science. Responsibilities Demonstrate teaching excellence in the subject matter. Demonstrate sound classroom management skills. Cultivate a positive learning environment. Support ideas and policies of the Administration. Demonstrate content knowledge. Conduct science labs, STEAM activities, and integrate project-based learning opportunities. Integrate appropriate technology to make student learning collaborative and interactive. Provide differentiated learning opportunities within the classroom. Update grades/lab reports in a timely manner. Sponsor and organize a J-term course (a 3-day experiential learning course). Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the students’ progress.
