The J.D. substitutes for the Ph.D. in Political Science as the minimum qualification for legal studies courses in Political Science including: Introduction to the Law, Legal Research and Writing, Legal Mediation and Dispute Resolution, Family Law, and Juvenile Law A background search will be required of the successful applicant.
