STEAM / Science Mentor Position Available In Wilson, Tennessee

STEAM / Science Mentor Braingineers Lab 492 Industrial Drive, Mount Juliet, TN 37122 Braingineers Lab is accepting applications for the STEAM / Science Mentor position for our Afterschool workshops for K-5 students. This is a part-time position.

NO TEACHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED.

Braingineers Lab is looking for an upbeat, energetic, motivated, and passionate mentor who want to make a difference and join our team. The best candidates to join the team will preferably have previous experience teaching science concepts to kids within elementary and school grades, either in a classroom setting or as a tutor; no teaching license is required. STEAM / Computer Mentor responsibilities:

Work with a small group of different ages, from Elementary age kids Develop and plan step-by-step instructions for hands-on workshops Develop lesson plans for the science subject Check inventory, manage, and prepare materials for the workshops Provide instruction to an assigned group of kids in the designated area and time Supervise, guide, and assist kids through projects during the workshops, catering to the abilities of different age groups Create a positive environment that cultivates creativity, cooperation, and interaction between the kids Maintain an orderly space, and ensure the safety of the students at all times Clean and organize the space before and after workshops Maintain a professional appearance and attitude with kids, parents, and staff Track attendance, create and prepare different reports as needed Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of Braingineers Lab at all times

Skills:

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s or College degree preferred
• Possess skills with software like Microsoft Office and other related computer software
• Experience working in a classroom setting is desired, but NOT required
• Detail-oriented and able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Flexible, friendly, and good at establishing and following procedures
• Able to communicate effectively with other personnel and faculty
• Able to cultivate relationships with kids in a brief time period
• Confidence and capability in giving directions
• Willing and able to work standing for most of the time

Minimum Qualifications:
