Summer Camp Instructor – Technology & Gaming Focus (Seasonal Position) Skill Samurai 931 East Bloomingdale Avenue, Brandon, FL 33511
Position Overview:
We’re hiring Summer Camp Instructors who are high-energy, reliable, and passionate about helping kids learn while having fun. Ideal candidates will have a background or strong interest in Roblox, Minecraft, YouTube content creation, and gaming , as well as the interpersonal skills to manage, motivate, and mentor young campers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or assist in daily camp sessions focused on topics such as Roblox Studio, Minecraft Redstone & Mods, YouTube editing, digital safety, and basic coding Supervise and engage campers in both structured activities and free play Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence in a positive and inclusive environment Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of all campers Assist with camper check-in/check-out procedures and maintain accurate attendance records Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and fellow instructors Help with setup and cleanup of classroom spaces and materials Adapt activities based on group size, skill level, and energy Be an ambassador of fun, learning, and mentorship throughout the day
Requirements:
Must be available June 2 – August 8, 2025 Must have flexible availability between 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM (specific shifts will be assigned) Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or camp settings preferred Comfortable using or teaching Minecraft, Roblox, YouTube, or related digital platforms Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills Ability to manage groups of 6-10 children effectively Must have reliable transportation to and from the Skill Samurai center Ability to remain active and engaged throughout long camp days CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
