Citi Christian Academy 3001 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33142 Position Overview Planning, leading, and teaching Martial Arts techniques, and physical and mental discipline to students in middle school (grades 6th-8th). Because of the age and the emotional maturity of the students, we are looking for a martial arts specialty with minimal physical contact between students. This position requires the teacher to be proficient in martial arts instruction including administration, organization, leadership and facilities and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities :

Create and follow lesson plans Teach all marital arts classes Ensure student safety and supervision of students at all times Assist with biannual student surveys Participate in staff development, weekly rallies, and evaluations Assist to establish and maintain an environment of physical and emotional safety based on respect at all levels Maintain equipment and ensure it is available and in good working condition Ensure student engagement Keeps track of student’s punctuality and participation in sessions

Requirements:

Must be able to work the entire 7 weeks without taking a day off for vacation. Bachelor’s degree, preferred OR equivalent experience in the field Certified in martial arts in the state of Florida, preferred Athletic and in good health experience working with at risk youth excellent organization, leadership and communication skills able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and pay the initial screening cost of approximately $65.00 bilingual preferred (English
