As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster personal growth while ensuring that each camper has an unforgettable experience. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events. Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, tutoring sessions, theater performances, and outdoor adventures. Provide support and mentorship to campers, encouraging their personal development and social skills. Assist with special needs children by implementing tailored programs that promote inclusion and participation. Maintain a positive atmosphere by promoting teamwork, respect, and Christian values among campers. Administer first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies in accordance with safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Experience Ideal candidates should possess the following skills or experiences: Previous experience in childcare or working with children in educational settings. Background in tutoring or special education is highly desirable. Skills in sports coaching or leading recreational activities. Experience in theater or performing arts can enhance the camp experience for campers. Certification in first aid or CPR is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Familiarity with Christian counseling principles is a plus. Babysitting experience can also be beneficial for managing camper needs effectively.
