As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development by implementing STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineer, Art, and Math) principles and enhancing their literacy skills. Duties Supervise and engage with campers in various activities centered around STEAM concepts such as arts and crafts, critical thinking, sports, and outdoor adventures. Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and teamwork among campers. Educate campers on safety protocols and ensure adherence to camp rules. Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all participants. Assist in planning and implementing daily schedules and special events. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address any concerns or needs. Foster personal growth by mentoring campers in skills such as teamwork, leadership, and conflict resolution. Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as camps, daycare, or tutoring is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices and CPR is highly desirable. Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage with diverse groups of children. Ability to educate campers on various topics while promoting a fun learning environment. A passion for working with students and helping them grow personally and socially.
