Job Description
Summer Camp Counselor Education Station Children’s Corporation 4300 Old Jonesboro Road, Forest Park, GA 30297 Teach and lead the daily activities for our Summer Day Camp. The Summer Day Camp is a summer program in which 25 campers ages 5 – 12 explore and learn through play, stories, games, art projects, Water activities and garden activities. The camp will be conducted weekdays from May 28 to August 1st. Summer camp teachers will report to work on May 27. We are looking to hire a fulltime Summer Camp Teacher to work Monday-Friday 7am-2pm and we also are looking to hire a part time Teacher 2-6pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and lead campers in art projects, games, Waterplay and learning activities Prepare the projects for each day, clean-up, and meet and greet parents Conduct activities that will be interactive and at many times, outdoors Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years of experience in teaching or assisting in a program serving children ages 5 – 12 Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills An enthusiasm for the outdoors and the natural world Comfortable with working in a Childcare Center CPR/AED/first aid certification a must Preference will be given to candidates with Childcare Experience Satisfactory background and sexual offender registry checks The above job duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work for employees in this position, but this is not intended as an exclusive or all-inclusive inventory of all duties required of employees in this job.
