Job Summary
The Albany State Music and Arts Camp is specially designed to assist middle and high school students of local and surrounding communities in improving their music and arts education while discovering innovative and fun ways to apply learned processes of problem solving to other academic subjects.
The dates of this camp are from June 9, 2025 to June 20, 2025.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
Student / Camp Counselor
Guide and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during all camp activities.
Assists the faculty with teaching sessions and camp activities.
Actively participate in all camp events while encouraging the campers engagement in the activities.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a student at the university or a recent graduate in music, arts, education or a related field.
Prior experience in working with Children or as a camp counselor.
Faculty Instructor
Create and deliver interactive lessons and activities to enhance the instructions that are related to the specific curriculum area.
Participate in camp activities and collaborate with other faculty.
Assist with setup and clean up for the daily activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Art, Education, or related field, prefer Master¿s degree.
Experience in teaching or instructing in a camp or educational setting, particularly with middle and high school setting.
Administrative Specialist Coordinator
Assist the Program Manager with administrative tasks, including organizing and maintaining documents and records.
Provide general office support including but not limited to preparing reports or presentations, filing, coping, maintain office supplies and ensure proper record keeping of the program activities and student participation.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in administration, education or related field.
Prior experience in an administrative or event coordination, preferably in a camp or educational environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong Organizational Skills.
Experience working with educational programs or camps.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently win a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with parents/ guardians and managing family communication.
