Martial Arts Instructor Movement Initiative New Orleans, LA 70117 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts and a desire to educate and inspire students of all ages. However, no experience needed. This role involves teaching various martial arts disciplines, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive learning environment. The instructor will play a crucial role in developing students’ skills, confidence, and respect for martial arts. Responsibilities Conduct engaging and structured martial arts classes for students of varying skill levels. Develop lesson plans that incorporate techniques, forms, and sparring exercises. Educate students on the principles of martial arts, including discipline, respect, and self-defense. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain a safe and supportive training environment by enforcing safety protocols. Organize and participate in events, competitions, or demonstrations to showcase student achievements. Collaborate with other instructors to create a well-rounded curriculum that includes elements from various disciplines such as Judo or Karate. Skills Proficient in martial arts with experience in teaching or coaching. Strong communication skills to effectively convey techniques and concepts. Ability to motivate and inspire students while fostering a positive atmosphere. Knowledge of related disciplines such as basketball or physical education is advantageous. Experience in health club environments or as a lifeguard can enhance instructional capabilities. Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules and student records. A commitment to ongoing personal development in martial arts techniques and teaching methods. Income Income is determined by a percentage of revenue. Potential to make up to 1500 dollars per month only working 1-2 hours per day four times a week. Education Previous experience in martial arts is preferred but NOT required.
