Inside Out is looking for Backpacking instructors to join our team for our Fall season! Inside Out is committed to creating experiential education programs that will leave participants with a sense of accomplishment, learning, adventure, and bonding.

Program Overview:

Programs are between 5 and 11 days long and contain both in camp and on trial elements (In Pisgah Forest) . Group ages are 8th and 11th grade, and each program is customized to fit the needs of our clients.

Season Overview:

8/15

• 8/22 : 11th Graders 9/7
• 9/12 : 8th Graders 10/10
• 10/19 : 8th

Graders Requirements:

Wilderness First Aid (WFR preferred) Extensive professional backpacking experience with groups Knowledge of Leave No Trace principles Ability to familiarize oneself with the trail chosen/given. Enthusiasm, Professionalism, and Calm, Fun, and Caring Attitudes.

Responsibilities:

Lead groups of 10-14 students through multiple activities and tasks. Lead Students on multi-day backpacking experience Group management Campsite management, cooking, and fire skills and animal prevention protocol Maintaining the emotional and physical well-being of students (challenge by choice) Housing available on case by case bases. Programs are contract work, sign on for as many or as few programs as your schedule allows! Pay is $130
