As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises. Provide guidance and support to campers, promoting positive behavior management and conflict resolution. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all campers. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team dynamic that enhances the camp experience for everyone. Requirements Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, or classroom management is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. Knowledge of Christian counseling principles is a plus. Background in sports coaching or recreational activities is beneficial. Ability to manage behavior effectively and promote a positive camp culture. Must be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to changing situations. Previous experience in a camp setting or similar environment is desirable but not mandatory.
