Busy Bees of Palisade is hiring energetic and dependable Summer Camp Counselors to support our school-age program! If you enjoy working with children ages 5-10 and know how to bring the fun without needing to leave the building, this is the perfect summer job. Our summer camp is packed with engaging indoor and outdoor activities. You’ll help lead creative projects, games, and themed events right on site in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage a group of school-age children (ages 5-10) Lead daily activities like art, group games, STEM projects, and theme days Keep children safe, active, and positively engaged throughout the day Support smooth transitions during meals, play, and quiet time Encourage teamwork, creativity, and kindness Follow all safety, health, and licensing policies
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old Experience working with children in a group setting (school, daycare, camp, aftercare, etc.) Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a group Must be reliable and able to work full-time during the summer Bonus if you have: Experience creating or leading hands-on group activities A background in education, youth programs, or recreation A calm and confident approach with high-energy kids
