The Destined 2 WOW Summer Performing Arts Camp is seeking dynamic and skilled Camp Instructors in the following disciplines: Acting | Singing | Poetry | Spoken Word |

Dance Position Overview:

Camp Instructors will lead hands-on, engaging sessions for middle and high school students (ages 10-17), helping them develop their creativity and voice through the performing arts. Instructors will also collaborate with the team to help guide students in preparing for an End-of-Camp Showcase Performance for family, friends, and the community. This is a meaningful opportunity to empower the next generation to express themselves, build confidence, and make a difference through their art.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate daily workshops and breakout sessions in your area of expertise (acting, singing, dance, spoken word, or poetry). Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are fun, safe, and educational. Work closely with the Program Coordinator and fellow instructors to align on daily goals and showcase preparation. Collaborate on original or adapted material for the end-of-camp community performance. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all campers. Help supervise students during transitions, lunch breaks, and special activities. Participate in planning meetings and provide feedback to help improve programming.

Qualifications:

Must be 18+ years old (21+ preferred for lead roles). Prior experience teaching or mentoring middle and high school students in the arts. Strong background in at least one of the following areas: Acting, Singing, Dance, Poetry, or Spoken Word. Excellent communication, energy, and classroom management skills. A team player with a creative and collaborative spirit. Must pass a criminal background check. Must be available for full camp dates and rehearsals (schedule provided upon hire). CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain). Must be able to create a fun, structured environment while maintaining order and inspiration.

Camp Schedule:

Camp runs June 9th – August 1st with ( no camp June 30th – July 1st). Two 3-weeks sessions Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Weekly field trips and Final Talent Showcase at the end of camp on August 1st at Harbison Theatre, Irmo, SC
