Seasonal or Full-time Boot fitter at Basin Ski & Ride in Killington Basin Sports 2886 Killington Road, Killington, VT 05751 Basin is looking for a skilled and passionate Boot Fitter to join our dynamic team for the upcoming winter season! Looking for either full-time or a seasonal team member for the winter months. Located at the base of Killington Resort in Killington, our shop is known for delivering top-tier service in a fast-paced, fun, and customer-focused environment. Role:
As a Boot Fitter at Basin, you’ll help customers of all abilities—from first-timers to elite athletes—find their perfect ski boot fit. You’ll use your expertise (or training we’ll provide) to perform boot fittings, make modifications, and create custom footbeds. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative retail setting and takes pride in delivering exceptional service that keeps customers coming back season after season.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers in selecting the right ski boots based on their skill level, foot shape, and needs Perform boot fittings and custom modifications Create and mold custom footbeds Offer gear recommendations and educate customers on products and accessories Ensure every guest has a fun, informative, and memorable shopping experience
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with alpine boots Familiarity with boot fitting techniques and equipment (training provided if needed) Ability to communicate clearly and listen actively to customer needs Strong knowledge of ski gear and a genuine enthusiasm for winter sports Comfortable using power tools like belt sanders, routers, and bench jointers
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous retail experience in the ski or outdoor industry Certification from Masterfit, Boot Doc, or Sidas (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:
