Work Schedule =e.g. 8-500 Work Schedule Type Primary Purpose of Organization Unit Primary Purpose of Position Social Work Field Site Recruitment Job Description The Department of Social Work at UNC Pembroke is seeking a mission-driven and relationship-oriented Adjunct Faculty – Field Placement Site Recruiter to support the growth of our BSW/MSW field education program in the Mecklenburg/Union County, Brunswick/New Hanover/Onslow, and/or Buncombe/Burke County regions. This part-time position focuses on identifying and cultivating new field placement sites aligned with CSWE accreditation standards and our program’s educational goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

Identify, engage, and build relationships with agencies and organizations across Mecklenburg/Union County, Brunswick/New Hanover/Onslow, and/or Buncombe/Burke County regions to serve as new field education sites.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Field Education to assess agency fit, ensure compliance with educational standards, and formalize partnerships.
Conduct outreach to social workers and human service professionals to recruit qualified field instructors.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, contacts, partnership statuses, and placement details.
Provide support for field instructor onboarding and assist in organizing training/orientation activities as needed.
Participate as possible in occasional department meetings and planning sessions to ensure integration with broader program goal Management Preference Previous experience as a field instructor, field liaison, or involvement with social work field education.
Familiarity with CSWE field education competencies and requirements.
