Salary The salary is commensurate with education and experience Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Social Work at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#123310) at the rank of lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2025. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching five (on-site and online) undergraduate and graduate courses per semester and maintaining the required number of office hours each week. Required Education A master of social work from a CSWE accredited program is required by the appointment date. Required License/Registration/Certification A social work license or license eligibility in the State of Tennessee is required. Other Desirables Those with a master-level social work license (LMSW, MCSW and/or LAPSW), one (1) year full-time or three (3) years adjunct teaching experience at the higher education level, two (2) years of full-time experience at any level of social work practice, or those with a PhD or a DSW in social work or a closely related field will receive special consideration.
