Duties/Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities include required courses in Human Services and Sociology Use of best teaching practices by using student-centered and evidence-based teaching practices such as active learning or course undergraduate research experiences. Courses are expected to be taught in person Regular, predictable attendance on campus and availability to students. Alignment with the University’s mission, vision, and strategic roadmap Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Preferred candidates should have training or experience in clinical skills to be qualified to teach skills-based classes in Human Services (such as counseling, therapy or interviewing skills) Candidates who can demonstrate the ability to teach courses in Medical Sociology are also preferred A commitment to serving diverse, first-generation, non-traditional, and socio-economically challenged students. A willingness to work individually and in groups to support success in application to, matriculation, and persistence in the program.

Education and Experience:

Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in Human Services or Sociology completed by the start date. Interested candidates with a doctorate in either Human Services or Sociology are also encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants who submit materials by June 2nd, then selections will continue until the positions are filled.

Salary:
