Floater/Closer Teacher Heritage Preschool of Homewood 151 Covenant Way, Birmingham, AL 35209 Summary/Objective The Floater and Closer are responsible for providing support to the Lead and Assistant Teachers to ensure a safe and consistent child development environment. Essential Functions × Ability to maintain classroom control × Maintain a safe and healthy classroom × Uphold confidentiality Daily Tasks × Report to the front office upon arrival for daily assignment × Provide a safe and clean environment for the students × Actively engage in classroom activities × Maintain classroom control × Remove garbage × Verify papers are sent home × Properly complete cleaning log Weekly Tasks × Sanitize classroom and cots Monthly Tasks × Clean behind large furniture Quarterly Tasks × Work Parent’s Night Out (2 per year)
