NSY | Contract | K-12 Schools An exciting opportunity awaits for dedicated professionals in the field of education tailored for students with visual impairments. This itinerant position focuses on delivering exceptional support and guidance to K-12 students, fostering an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across K-12. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. Conduct assessments and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure cohesive student support. Stay updated on best practices and advancements in strategies for teaching visually impaired students. Facilitate training and resources for school staff regarding visual impairment awareness and support.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching credentials with a specialization in visual impairment or related field. Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in an itinerant capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff. Commitment to fostering an adaptive and supportive learning environment for all students.
