Full Job Description Job Description Teacher Job Title:
General Education Teacher Manages student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of SafetyNet Academy and it’s schools and possesses a Special Education Certificate with the Alabama Department of Education Essential functions/typical tasks: The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintains and respects confidentially of student and school personnel information Maintains a classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school and agency policies Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate Organizes students for effective instruction Collects and places students’ papers in regular teacher’s desk Returns instructional materials, equipment, and keys to proper place Performs other related duties assigned by building administrator Alabama teaching certificate in General Education is preferred but not required Must be able to use various education software to include SETS Web and INOW Familiar with the use of Education Automation Equipment Able to adapt to a changing environment Possesses great oral and writing skills Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
