Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An elementary special education teaching position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Phenix City, AL. This full-time contract role requires a dedicated educator to serve students in grades K-6, working 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in an elementary school setting.

Responsibilities include:

Acting as a case manager for approximately 15-18 students Providing direct special education services through both resource pull-out sessions and inclusion push-in support Support students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Speech-Language Impairments with academic needs, and Other Health Impairments including ADHD Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure individualized education programs are effectively implemented and goals are met Desired qualifications: Certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary students (grades K-6) Ability to manage cases and coordinate services for 15-18 students Skilled in delivering specialized instruction for Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, and Speech-Language Impairments Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support personnel This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on young learners through specialized education services.
