Part-time Teacher Journey Kids Village 1701 Disciple Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72405 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the developmental needs of each student. The Teacher will play a crucial role in promoting literacy education and early intervention strategies while ensuring the welfare of all children in their care. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and foster a love for learning. Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques, creating a safe and nurturing environment. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Provide early intervention support for children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education services. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support child welfare and development. Incorporate Montessori principles where applicable to enhance hands-on learning experiences. Facilitate literacy education initiatives that promote reading and writing skills among students. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including early intervention strategies. Familiarity with literacy education methodologies and classroom management techniques. Strong lesson planning skills with the ability to create engaging educational activities. Experience or training in Montessori methods is a plus. Understanding of special education practices and child welfare considerations is desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
