Criminal Justice Teacher 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 1501 W Court St, Paragould, AR 72450 The Criminal Justice Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction within the Public Service and Safety Career and Technical Education (CTE) program of study. This includes teaching courses such as Introduction to Criminal Justice (Level 1) , Foundations of Law Enforcement (Level 2) , and either Criminal Justice I, Criminal Justice II, or Emergency Medical (Level 3). The instructor will provide students with academic and hands-on learning experiences to prepare them for careers in criminal justice, law enforcement, emergency response, and related fields.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state CTE standards and course requirements. Provide engaging instruction in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Medical topics. Integrate real-world scenarios and simulations to enhance student understanding and skill development. Assess student progress regularly using both formative and summative assessments. Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and certifications. Provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth. Collaborate with CTE staff, administrators, and local public safety professionals to support program development and student opportunities. Supervise students in classroom, lab, and potential field-based learning activities. Maintain industry-relevant certifications and participate in professional development related to CTE and criminal justice. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, professionalism, and public service.

Preferred Qualifications:

Postsecondary degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field. Experience teaching in a high school or secondary CTE setting.

Working Conditions:

Participation in professional development and occasional after-school events or trainings. Lenghth of contract is 190 days. Salary is based on licensed salary schedule on district website. Requirements:

Valid teaching certification in Criminal Justice or ability to meet state CTE licensure requirements. Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States.
