Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant Education is hiring a qualified Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment in the Norwich, CT area . This is a short-term, full-time, onsite position supporting students in grades 5-8 for the fall semester of the 2025-2026 school year .

Hours:
Approximately 8:15 AM – 3:20 PM (may vary slightly with coverage needs)
Responsibilities:
Provide resource and in-class support for students in grades 5-8. Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students. Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals. Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers. May be responsible for covering arrival, dismissal, lunch, or recess duties based on teacher’s schedule.
Requirements:
Active Connecticut teaching certification in one of the following: 065, 165, or 265 . Experience with middle-grade students in both pull-out and push-in support settings is strongly preferred. Must be able to reliably commute to the school daily.
