The Facilitator assists in playing a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for students with learning disabilities. This position involves assisting teachers and implementing curriculum. You would collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a cohesive learning experience. Duties Initiate interactions with children Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment Lead small groups (Art, Technology) Incorporate therapy recommendations into daily routine under supervision of educator Use developmentally appropriate practices Assist teacher in implementing curriculum Assist teacher in implementing support or Education Plan Transport children in our van when asked safely and punctually (park, field trips) Comply with all safe driving operations and rules Requirements Associates degree or higher Experience working with children is a plus Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to initiate interactions and create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
