TEACHER STARTING SALARY IS

$48,700. Additional Referendum money is available for the next four years starting at $5400 for the 25-26 school year; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement amount based on the date of hire. Job Summary Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Strives to implement, by instruction and action, the District’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

None required. Salary is based on verified years of teaching experience.

Certifications & Licenses:

Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area. The minimum qualifications for the remaining school-based ESE positions are listed in the chart below. ESE Position Experience Certifications & Licenses ESE Certified Behavior Analyst Three (3) years successful teaching or work experience with students on the autism spectrum and/or students with behaviorally complex needs. Experience with special education and related services for students with disabilities. Board certification as a Behavior Analyst AND Florida Department of Education teaching certification in at least one (1) area of Exceptional Student Education, Guidance and Counseling or School Psychology. Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement preferred. ESE Intervention Representative Five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience in exceptional student education or a combination of exceptional/regular education teaching experience. Background in behavior management techniques is strongly recommended. Florida Department of Education certification in at least one (1) area of Exceptional Student Education, Administration/Supervision or Educational Leadership. ESE Lead Three (3) years experience working with students with disabilities Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area. ESE Site Coach Three (3) years experience working with students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities/Autism. Certification in at least one area of exceptional student education (for Autism positions, Autism certification or endorsement required) and one area of a core content area or K-6 Certification.
