Elementary Teacher (K-4) Crossroad Academy Charter School 470 Strong Road, Quincy, FL 32351 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment for young learners, promoting their academic and social development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a strong commitment to the educational process, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Educate students in core subjects such as math, reading, science, and social studies. Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods. Provide support for students with special needs, including those with autism, through tailored instructional approaches. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Conduct regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in curriculum development initiatives to enhance educational offerings. Teach physical education classes to promote health and wellness among students. Maintain an organized classroom environment that supports library services and access to learning resources. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education practices. Strong proofreading skills to ensure the accuracy of instructional materials. Ability to develop engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
