Logic School Teacher 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Spring Hill, FL 34610 Job Description At Classical Prep, the teacher’s role is to lead students in pursuing the school’s goals and mission.

Overview Position:

Full-time, 10-month exempt

Work Schedule:

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM daily, 192 days, plus occasional nights and weekends as necessary

Benefits:

Insurance benefits the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment, 3% match of employee retirement contribution after a one-year vesting period, and seven (7) days of PTO Reports to Upper School Dean Work hours are subject to change. Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Instruction and Progress Monitoring Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests that are in accordance with established procedures Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment Use relevant but limited technology to support instruction Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing CPS rules and procedures Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of CPS and the Pasco County School District Provide appropriate and timely feedback on student work Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust instruction Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of students’ progress and development Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations Prepare required reports on students and activities Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities Prepare classroom for class activities according to CPS guidelines Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments in a timely manner Professional Development Attend and participate in all professional development activities Maintain personal professional development records regarding certification •

Course Overage This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. Should this occur, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate (up to $3,420 for a full-year) in addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed per pay period based on the number of days you teach the class for that pay period. Evaluation Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Classical Preparatory School’s evaluation rubric.
