Aftercare Specialist Ashley Grimes Dance Collective 13145 Kings Lake Drive, Gibsonton, FL 33534 Job Summary The Aftercare Specialist plays a vital role in providing support and guidance to children in our dance afterschool program. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children. They will work closely with children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth while fostering an engaging and nurturing atmosphere. Duties Supervise and engage with children. Provide care and support for children with diverse needs. Implement age-appropriate activities. Maintain a safe and clean environment for all children in your care. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians. Administer first aid when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with other staff members to develop programs that enhance children’s experiences. Help students with maintaining their belonging in the cubbies and backpacks. Assisting students with getting dressed, doing their hair for class, eating snack, etc. Skills Experience working with children in daycare or childcare settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with first aid procedures to ensure the safety of children. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to create engaging activities that cater to various age groups. Experience in babysitting or similar roles demonstrating responsibility and care for children. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to nurturing children’s growth while creating a safe, supportive, and enriching environment.
