JOB SUMMARY :
The Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist focuses on delivering functional, routines-based intervention that are directly linked to evaluation and assessment findings, ensuring they align with the goals and outcomes outlined in the Individualized Family Support Plan.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Assess the needs of infants and toddlers age 0-3 Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations, participate in ongoing service planning, complete the Child Outcome Summary, and conduct EXIT interviews. Conduct home visits and provide ongoing services in the natural environment Collaborate with families to develop family centered outcomes that address the unique needs of each child and their family Based on the identified outcomes, make service recommendations and assist in formulation the family support plan Ensure the delivery of effective comprehensive and effective early intervention services Participate in FL-EPIC (Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers) Preserves the integrity and confidentiality of protected health information of Easterseals clients. Understands, acknowledges, and implements Easterseals privacy policies involving the disclosure of protected health information of Easterseals clients. Demonstrates a strong commitment to self-development. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment. Completes all assignments and responsibilities, is flexible and a team player. EXPERIENCE
: Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or early childhood/special education, child and family development, family life specialist, communication sciences, psychology, or social work. Certificate of Experience – must have early intervention with hands on experience including birth to 5 years old children with special needs and/or developmental disabilities. COE – should document at least 1600 hours of hands on experience. Must have ITDS Certification

: Knowledge of the Early Steps Program Positive attitude towards individuals with disabilities and the Easterseals work environment and philosophy. Willingness to be flexible. Possess the qualities of integrity, tact, and good judgment.
