As a Surgical Authorization Specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations for office and surgical procedures. Your work will ensure that patients experience a seamless process, while maintaining compliance with insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with insurance companies to secure authorizations for office and surgical procedures. Review patient medical records to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines. Collaborate with surgeons, medical staff, and billing teams to ensure accurate scheduling and documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and coding requirements.
