K-8 STEM
Teacher at Crestwell will play a key role in delivering a rigorous, engaging, and developmentally appropriate STEM education for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position involves designing and implementing dynamic, hands-on, and inquiry-based lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, and math across a wide range of age groups. The ideal candidate will be passionate about STEM education, capable of differentiating instruction across grade levels, and dedicated to cultivating curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in every student. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Delivery Develop and implement STEM-focused lessons that engage students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning across science, technology, engineering, and math. Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Utilize 1:1 digital learning tools and platforms to enhance instruction, engagement, and student understanding. Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Classroom Management Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where students across all grade levels feel valued and empowered. Implement effective classroom management strategies tailored to age-appropriate expectations and learning styles. Promote the development of social-emotional and collaborative skills to support student growth and maturity. Collaboration & Professional Development Collaborate with fellow teachers, instructional teams, and school leadership to deliver a cohesive and vertically aligned
K-8 STEM
curriculum. Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative teaching strategies. Reflect on instructional practices to continuously improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes. Family & Community Engagement Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming STEM initiatives. Encourage family participation in the educational process through events, exhibitions, and engagement opportunities. Represent Crestwell positively in all interactions with students, families, and the broader community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field or Education. Teaching certification in Elementary or Middle Grades Education (or ability to obtain certification). Experience teaching a range of grade levels, preferably K-8, with a strong passion for STEM education. Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Ability to create inclusive and age-appropriate learning experiences for a diverse group of students. Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation.
