This role is designed for individuals who are committed to enhancing the educational experience of children through specialized support and tailored programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, particularly in areas such as early childhood education, behavior management, and curriculum development. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children while working collaboratively with educators and families. Duties Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. Provide direct support to students in various educational settings, including private schools and specialized programs. Collaborate with teachers and staff to create inclusive classroom environments that foster learning for all students. Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive student behavior and engagement. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Engage in curriculum development that aligns with best practices in early childhood education and special education. Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child’s education. Offer support in areas such as speech therapy or behavioral therapy when applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, Special Education, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Valid FLDOE teaching certificate Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood or special education settings. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development processes tailored for diverse learners. Knowledge of deaf education is advantageous but not required. Teaching physical education experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
