This position offers a rewarding environment where the ESE Teacher can be impactful and integral in the lives of students with unique needs and learning challenges. The ESE Teacher will be responsible for working with students. We are looking for a committed ESE Teacher to complement our qualified educators. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students with learning differences and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development. Special education teachers work with students who have disabilities, and their responsibilities include: Assessing students: Evaluate students’ skills and educational needs
Developing IEPs:
Create individualized education programs for each student that address their unique strengths and challenges Adapting lessons: Modify general lessons to meet students’ needs
Teaching:
Teach and mentor students in a variety of ways, including in small groups, one-on-one, and as a class Tracking progress: Monitor students’ performance and update IEPs throughout the school year
Collaborating:
Work with other teachers, parents, psychologists, and social workers to develop education plans for students Preparing students for transition: Help students transition from grade to grade and from school to life outside of school
