Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Position Overview We’re currently hiring a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to join our fully remote team, supporting K-12 students across Georgia . This work-from-home role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students with exceptional needs while enjoying the flexibility of virtual instruction. As part of our team, you’ll work collaboratively with educators, families, and school personnel to provide customized support and instruction through a secure teletherapy platform. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual, individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals. Create, implement, and manage effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Modify general education curriculum to accommodate a range of learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student success. Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional strategies. Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings, offering informed, professional recommendations. Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related area. Current and valid Georgia Special Education teaching certification . At least two years of experience in a school-based special education role preferred. Proficiency in IEP writing, development, and case management. Tech-savvy and comfortable with virtual instruction platforms. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting. Technology Requirements Stable, high-speed internet connection. Desktop or laptop computer (note: tablets and Chromebooks are not supported). Successful completion of a short tech screening to verify platform compatibility.
