- Telehealth Job Type Contract VocoVision is seeking a compassionate and experienced Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team.
We are a leading provider of telepractice services, dedicated to connecting qualified educators with students who require specialized support. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing valuable educational services to visually impaired students across Georgia.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to determine students’ visual impairments and educational needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student’s unique learning goals and accommodations.
- Provide direct instruction and support services to visually impaired students using our online platform, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
- Collaborate with educational teams, including parents, therapists, and school staff, to coordinate comprehensive educational plans.
- Utilize assistive technology and resources effectively to enhance learning experiences for visually impaired students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, services provided, and communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Georgia PSC Certification
- Master’s degree or higher in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Visual Impairment Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching visually impaired students.
- Proficiency in using technology for virtual instruction and assessments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport in a virtual environment.
- Commitment to providing inclusive and accessible education to visually impaired students.
