The ideal candidate will be passionate about classical Christian education, interested in or familiar with Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy, and excited to engage with young learners in a thoughtful, relational, and academically rich environment. This position will work closely with an experienced educator who will serve as a co-teacher and classroom aide to support onboarding and familiarity with our curriculum and philosophy. Qualifications & Requirements The ideal candidate will: Be a committed Christian who can affirm the PCS Statement of Faith Embrace and model the mission, vision, and values of Parkview Christian School Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (required), preferably in Education or a related field Have a strong grasp of age-appropriate pedagogical practices Be familiar with—or willing to learn—the Charlotte Mason philosophy Demonstrate a desire to collaborate with fellow educators and partner with parents Exhibit professionalism, humility, and a teachable spirit Responsibilities Instructional Duties Teach the approved curriculum under the guidance of the Curriculum Director Develop and enhance unit plans with attention to the whole child Submit lesson plans as required Implement regular formative and summative assessments, keeping accurate records for progress reports and report cards Use narration, discussion, and hands-on experiences in keeping with Mason’s approach Classroom Management Establish a warm, orderly, and respectful classroom culture Maintain daily records (attendance, behavior, assessments) Utilize the school’s online management system (training provided) Parent Communication & Advocacy Communicate clearly and professionally via email, meetings, and conferences Foster strong relationships with families as educational partners Participate in parent-teacher conferences and ongoing collaboration Community Participation Attend all required staff meetings, in-service training, and teacher workdays Support and participate in school events and extracurricular life Collaborate regularly with the Principal and Curriculum Director Complete summer professional development assignments Additional Duties Fulfill assigned duties such as carpool, lunch, or Spark Be a faithful steward of classroom materials, space, and school equipment
