Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Position Overview:
Soliant is l ooking for 5 Life Skills Teachers to support students with special education needs across elementary and middle school settings, as well as floating positions covering K-12. Teachers will establish realistic, measurable goals for students, collaborate openly with staff and families, and maintain clear communication with all parties involved. Participation in special education meetings will be required as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement realistic and measurable goals for students’ life skills development Collaborate openly with staff, families, and students to support learning and growth Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders Attend special education meetings as needed Float between schools (for floating positions) to provide coverage and support across grade levels
Special Requirements:
Valid Oregon teaching license or Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) education license Prior experience working in a special education environment Experience working in secondary classrooms preferred Valid First Aid and CPR certification required
Work Environment:
